Why bother

Hi,

Seeing your company in the top 3 in Google sounds nice and everything, but...

... is it even worth the trouble and the hassle and the work?

You have a thousand things on your list already. And if you're like me I assume you're not looking for ANOTHER thing to add.

And yes - I know that I'm supposed to say that the answer is 'of course this is important, drop everything you're doing and make the the #1 priority'.

Because I do this all day, every day. And I sell the service. So I'm about as fair and unbiased as a medieval witch hunter that just rode into a village with a suspiciously bad harvest.

Let me just give you three things that I know to be true and that are pretty easy to verify:

1) The top 3 businesses showing up for a Google search get basically ALL the traffic. The percentage is something like 78% of visitors click on the top 3. So everyone below that? They're fighting for scraps.

2) That also means that the top 3 gets basically all the calls, all the clicks, all the clients, all the attention, all the reputation boost etc. etc. etc. You get the idea.

Which leads us to the main million dollar question:

3) if you got in the top 3 and you started getting the calls and clicks that your competition is getting now...

...would you be able to land more clients?

If the answer is YES -> getting to the top 3 is almost certainly worth it.

If the answer is NO -> don't bother with this. It's probably not worth your time.

For now the question kinda comes down to: 'are you open to getting more clients?'

Because if you are, this should be near the top of your marketing to do list.

Tony
